Onboarding plugin for Ember applications, for Claude Code and Codex.
Setup on a New Machine
Prerequisites. Windows 11, VS Code, a separate local admin account from the service desk, and GitHub access to
ATL-Trip-Planner. Then install Git and the GitHub CLI, sign in, and clone this repository. The commands are in prerequisites.md.Run the workstation setup from the VS Code terminal, from your normal account:
powershell -ExecutionPolicy Bypass -File "$HOME\gitroot\ember-platform-skills\skills\ember-workstation\scripts\workstation.ps1"It installs and configures everything else. When an install needs administrator rights, Windows asks for your local admin account. Anything skipped is recorded in
~/.ember/workstation-state.jsonand retried on the next run.-Checkreports without installing.Open VS Code, sign in to Claude Code or Codex in its panel, and ask it to "check my workstation". The
ember-workstationskill finishes pending items and keeps the toolchain current.
The workstation script installs the Claude Code plugin. To install it by hand, run this in Claude Code:
/plugin install ember-platform-skills --marketplace ATL-Trip-Planner/ember-platform-skillsThe skills need Node, which setup installs, and no npm packages. npm is only for contributors to this repository.
Your First Project
You talk to your agent in VS Code. Each step names what to say and the skill that answers. Not sure where you are? Ask "What's my next step?" and Ember Help tells you.
- Finish your workstation. Say "Check my machine." until nothing is pending. See Ember Workstation.
- Start or adopt a project. Say "Start a new Ember project." for a new one, or open an existing repository under
~/gitrootand say "Retrofit this repo to Ember." See Ember App Onboard. - Keep it on the standard. Say "Lint this repo against the Ember standard." whenever you change instructions or docs. The pre-commit hook runs it too. See Ember Context Lint.
- Build on your machine. Your project starts at the
localhosttier, with synthetic data only and no hosting accounts. - Check what AiRB will ask for. Say "Check AiRB readiness for this repo." early and often, and fill the evidence index as you write each document. See Ember AiRB Readiness.
- Request a sandbox when other people need to use the app. Say "Promote this project to sandbox." The skill checks the gate, records the request, and opens an issue for the sandbox operator.
- Wait for the operator. The sandbox operator provisions it with Ember Sandbox Provision and closes your issue. Then say "Promote this project to sandbox." again to move to the
sandboxtier. - Production goes through review. Production needs an Accreditation project record at accreditation.tde.atl.com and an AiRB decision. A sandbox, a clean readiness report, or Ember Developer Qualification is not production approval.

cd ~/gitroot/ember-platform-skills
npm ci
npm testnpm ci also points Git at .githooks/, so commits here run gitleaks and the context linter.
Check a Repository
node ~/gitroot/ember-platform-skills/skills/ember-context-lint/scripts/lint.mjs ~/gitroot/<slug>Add --report to always exit 0 while retrofitting, --summary for counts only, or --format json for tooling.
Skills
Each skill's README explains when to use it, what to say, what it changes, and how to fix common problems.
| Skill | Status | Job | Guide |
|---|---|---|---|

ember-app-onboard | Built | Starts a new project from the Next.js on Render template, retrofits an existing repository, and files the sandbox request | README |
ember-context-lint | Built | Checks a repository against the LLM context standard and guides retrofits | README |
ember-airb-readiness | Built | Reports gaps against the pinned AiRB control catalog and scaffolds the evidence index | README |
